FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Despite a second half goal from defender Bill Tuiloma, the Portland Timbers lost 2-1 to Inter Miami CF Saturday night at DRV PNK Stadium.

Match Moments

5' - SAVE & COUNTER (POR) - On a Miami corner kick that was whipped in towards goal, goalkeeper Aljaz Ivacic alertly punched the ball out and the Timbers broke forward on transition. A blocked Timbers pass was knocked into the air near the edge of the 18-yard box where Cristhian Paredes volleyed an attempt just over the bar.

13' - SAVE (POR) - Ivacic made a one-handed, diving save to parry away a curling shot from Miami's Bryce Duke in the 13th minute.

27' - GOAL (MIA) - Miami took a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute when a chipped in ball from Christopher McVay was headed into the Timbers net by forward Leonardo Campana.

31' - SAVE (POR) - Ivacic came up with another big stop four minutes later when he dove to his left to knock away a header from close range delivered by Campana.

45+3' - CHANCE (POR) - Midfielder David Ayala sprayed a ball out to the left for defender Justin Rasmussen to carry into the edge of the 18-yard box. Rasmussen cut back to his right foot and fired a hard shot on goal that forced a diving save from Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender.

46' - SAVE (POR) - Ivacic made another save just after halftime when he got down low and knocked away a shot from Miami's Ariel Lassiter.

59' - GOAL (MIA) - Miami went up 2-0 midway through the second half. They carried the ball ahead ahead with Lassiter shooting from the wing and hitting the far post. Inter's Robert Taylor ran in to one-time the loose ball into the back of the net.

65' - SAVE (POR) - Ivacic again went to his left to deny a dipping free kick shot attempt from Miami's Jean Mota.

78' - GOAL (POR) - Bill Tuiloma pulled a goal back for Portland in the 78th minute with a commanding header. Paredes quickly took a short corner on the near side, passing to teammate Santiago Moreno. The midfielder quickly crossed a ball in that was deflected but right into the path of Tuiloma who directed a diving header into goal.

81' - CHANCE (POR) - Portland worked the ball down the right channel with Moreno eventually pushing a ball to forward Nathan Fogaça who attempted a shot heading to the upper corner that Miami's Callender had to jump high to save.

90' - CHANCES (POR) - The Timbers broke forward with Sebastián Blanco chipping a ball to the back post that was deflected down to Paredes. Paredes laced a shot that clanged off the left post but the ball bounced to Blanco. He shed a defender but put his shot high.
