Fernando Pessoa | U16 Head Coach, Academy
First arriving with the club in 2017, Pessoa currently serves as Head Coach of the U16 Timbers Academy group. The Brazil native began his time in Portland as the Academy’s U13 Head Coach (2017-2019) before taking on the U15 helm in 2019. Notably, he led the U15 category to three playoffs appearances (2021, 2022, and 2023) as well as to its first international title: the 2022 Generation Adidas Cup. Prior to his time in Portland, Pessoa coached and worked internationally in Ireland, Qatar, and his native Brazil including a year at the FC Barcelona Soccer School (2015-2016).
Pessoa currently holds a CBF/Conmebol Pro license.
