The 2013 Stand Together Week edition, sponsored by Alaska Airlines, adidas, CenturyLink, Coca-Cola and Providence Health and Services, hit the midweek at a torrid pace.
Running from August 4-10, 2013, the week consists of 30 volunteer projects with various nonprofit organizations throughout the city, and engages hundreds of supporters, including Timbers and Portland Thorns FC players, coaches, ambassadors and front office staff. Each project has a meaningful impact on the community with an overall focus on benefitting youth and the environment.
On Wednesday, David Horst was at H.B. Lee Middle School with I Have a Dream, Bright Dike was getting creative with kids at OMSI, Sebastian Rincon was recycling building materials at the ReBuilding Center, Brent Richards was making plastic bag soccer balls at Kateri Park, Steven Evans was out and about volunteering and, as always, Timber Joey was at multiple sites throughout the day.
