As the 2014 edition of Stand Together Week neared its end point, there was no let up in the volunteer work and energy across the region. Friday saw Timbers U-23s players help clear brush at Browns Ferry Park in Tualatin as well as working with Thorns FC's Kat Tarr to lend a hand at the Children's Book Bank. Timbers players Danny O'Rourke and Jack Jewsbury were cleaning and getting bikes ready at the Community Cycling Center while Michael Nanchoff teamed up with Timber Joey to help out at the Oregon Food Bank. Alvas Powell and Kalif Alhassan went urban farming with Zenger Farm and finally, Norberto Paparatto and Rodney Wallace helped lead a soccer and nutrition clinic with the kids at AC Portland.
All of this activity was done alongside a committed and engertic army of fans and volunteers and we are all so grateful. Take a look at some of the highlights of today's great work.
