2014 Stand Together Week Day Four: Portland Timbers get started with sunshine, reading and soccer

On Day Four of the 2014 Stand Together Week, the Portland Timbers got into the act and in a big way. Diego Valeri and Fanendo Adi--so smooth on the pitch together--teamed up to work with the Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division. Across in Hillsboro, Maximiliano Urruti and Jorge Villafaña helped kickoff the Summer Reading Program at the Shute Park branch of the Hillsboro Library. Staying on the library front, Andrew Weber and Diego Chara worked with a special Summer Teen Volunteering event at the Tigard Library while Ben Zemanski and Bryan Gallego worked on his green thumb with volunteers from adidas at Ockley Green School's Growing Garden program. Finally, Steve Zakuani and Darlington Nagbe played soccer with kids from the 4 Worlds United Soccer Alliance Program in Powell Park.
