Timbers Academy goalkeeper Kashope Oladapo was named to the United States U-15 Boys’ National Team by head coach Dave van den Bergh to take part in the team’s second and final domestic training camp of the year.
Set to take place from Nov. 5-12 in Bradenton, Fla., the training camp will feature matches against U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) teams Chargers Soccer Club and Weston FC on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (Pacific), respectively. The U.S. U-15 BNT will also play an intra-squad match on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. (Pacific).
U-14 Academy Team competes in West Regional Showcase
The Timbers U-14 U.S. Soccer Development Academy team (USSDA) played in competitive matches collectively for the first time this past weekend, featuring in the West Regional Showcase at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. Despite displaying an impressive showing, the U-14s fell to the LA Galaxy U-14s and the San Jose Earthquakes U-14s in close matches, while also falling 2-1 to De Anza Force with a younger lineup. Jackson Finn scored the lone goal for the U-14s in the loss against De Anza Force.
