It was an action-packed April, with five homes matches between the Timbers and Thorns as well as our PTFC for Peace match. We are excited about the season ahead and look forward to sharing many more log slices and roses with all of you! We wanted to take a moment after an open weekend without home matches to share an update of our off the field initiatives and goals for this season.
PTFC for Peace
We hope you didn’t miss it, but if you did, be sure to check out this great video with highlights from our PTFC for Peace match. In total, our PTFC community raised over $579,448 for UNICEF USA to put towards support for Ukrainian children and families. We can’t thank everyone involved enough for their support and roles in making this special night possible. We look forward to exploring how to make this type of event a tradition in future seasons as the impact it had in our community as well as those impacted by the war in Ukraine is immeasurable.
Initiatives Update
Six weeks ago we shared with our supporters a list of initiatives our club was putting forth for the season ahead. You can check back in to see any progress on this page as we will continue to provide updates on our progress there, as well as announce any new programs that we can add to this list. We want to thank all of our staff and players for their dedication and commitment to driving our club forward on these initiatives. We also want to thank our partners, who have been working with us in this process this spring: Workplace Change, MOTUS and Construct the Present.
Upcoming Open Houses
As part of our commitment to create additional opportunities to hear from our supporters, we hosted two Open Houses in April and will host two more in May. As an Annual Member, you can sign up for the chance to attend one these events at on our Supporter Engagement Page. We will share updates from past Open Houses and meetings with our supporters, as well as provide you with a schedule of upcoming engagement events.
Thank you for your support, Onward Rose City
