As part of our inaugural group of ticket holders, Dustin and Karen won the chance to have a VIP experience for the Portland Timbers vs. New England Revolution match, including KeyBank Club seats, and a chance to visit with Timber Joey on the field!
We asked Dustin a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
My first match supporting the Timbers was from a game in 2009. My wife and I had recently moved to the Portland area and I remember the excitement I felt to be watching the game I love with other football supporters.
What was your favorite moment of the match today?
The moment when I saw the second goal hit the back of the net. The first goal was amazing, but going up 2-0 that late in the game allows you to really get stoked about getting 3 points. Another great moment was being able to share the victory, and member of the match experience, with my amazing wife of 9 years.
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
Two goals within a few minutes to give us three straight wins...[Fanendo] Adi.
What is your prediction for the next match – Timbers versus Houston Dynamo?
The Timbers will get payback against the Dynamo from the last game with a 3-1 victory at Providence Park.
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom? Any favorite Timbers memories?
I have countless memories that have been made over the years in supporting the Timbers from the TA section with friends and family. I look forward to many more and also sharing these experiences with our two year-old daughter as she gets older.
The Axe experience was great. The great seats, food, pre-game air conditioning, Voodoo donut, and Timbers staff made it a really special night.
