As part of our inaugural group of ticket holders, Allen and his friend Rory won the chance to have a VIP experience for the Portland Timbers vs. DC United match, including KeyBank Club seats, and a chance to visit with Timber Joey on the field!
We asked Allen a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
"I went to my first match with my older brother back in 2008. We sat over in the in the corner behind what was home plate. We only lasted a half before we moved over to within the Timbers Army. It was one of those life-changing moments."
What was your favorite moment of the match tonight?
"I love that we were able to hold on to the lead."
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
"I would have to say Diego Chara. He works so hard and without him on the pitch playing the way he does I don't think we could have won the match."
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom?
"Being a fan of the Timbers helped me meet the love of my life. She was also a Timbers season ticket holder when we met and we hit it off right off the bat. It is so nice that we get to share in our love for the Timbers. We recently got married in Hawaii and when we set the date we were sure to make sure we didn't miss a home match!"
