For the third straight week and fifth time this season, Donovan Ricketts is the MLS Save of the Week winner after picking up 46.7 percent of the vote for his sprawling stop on New England Saer Sene to preserve a scoreless draw at JELD-WEN Field.
It was a two-horse race between the Jamaican and Montreal Impact netminder Troy Perkins, who garnered 40.6 percent of the vote for his impressive double save on San Jose's Adam Jahn and Chris Wondolowski. Bringing up the back of the pack were New York's Luis Robles, LA's Carlo Cudicini and Colorado's Clint Irwin.
Perkins couldn't quite overtake Ricketts, though, who has now won half of the SOTW honors up for grabs this year and is only two behind the MLS-best seven Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando won during 2012. And that's after just 10 weeks.
