Timbers midfielder registered his fifth assist to help earn a road point against Nashville SC
PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Timbers midfielder Eryk Williamson was named to the MLS Team of the Week for week 18, the league announced today. Williamson tallied his fifth assist of the season in the July 3rd match against Nashville SC, logging 45 minutes in the match.
Williamson, 25, has registered two assists in his last three matches and five assists in his last seven games. His five assists in 12 appearances (six starts) leaves him tied him for second most on the team alongside Yimmi Chara. Additionally, Williamson’s five assists this season ties his career high, which he previously set during the 2020 season.
Up next, the Timbers will take on Cascadia rival Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday, July 9, at Lumen Field.
