Franck Boli was all smiles as he arrived in Portland to join the Timbers at their training facility on Friday, March 24. The 29-year-old forward had spent the past four seasons with Ferencvárosi Torna Club in Hungary’s top-flight, where he scored an 42 goals and provided 11 assists in 126 appearances. During Ferencvárosi’s UEFA Champions League group stage matches in 2020-21, Boli scored two goals in just 77 minutes of play.
"We’re excited to welcome Franck to Portland," Savarese said in the initial announcement. "Adding another attacking piece like Boli into our team will give us the possibility to be more competitive."
