The first half saw a number of chances for the Portland Timbers but no goals. Two shots were saved off the line and a Diego Valeri shot pinged off the cross bar. On the other end, Donovan Ricketts kept his team in it with a brilliant diving stop on a FCD Jackson laster in stoppage time.
The second half finally saw the Timbers get on the board though. In the 52nd minute, Darlington Nagbe found himself surrounded by three defenders in the top corner of the Dallas 18-yard box. His solution? Spin on all three and curl the shot in to the opposite upper 90. It's an absolute spectacular and inventive finish that created something out of nothing.
