It would appear that Landon Donovan's 11-month US national team hiatus is over.
According to a report on Tuesday from SI.com's Grant Wahl, Donovan will be included on the final USMNT roster for next month's Gold Cup. Each participating nation's 23-man squad lists are due to CONCACAF by Thursday night.

Donovan is the second name leaked for the US roster, just hours after Tigres UANL revealed that Jose Francisco Torres, who plays his club soccer for the Mexican outfit, was also called up. Both players were named to Jurgen Klinsmann's 35-man preliminary squad, which was announced last month.

The 31-year-old Donovan, who is the USA's all-time leading scorer and has 144 caps for the team, has not played for the US since their 1-0 win over Mexico in the Estadio Azteca on Aug. 15, 2012. He took a three-month sabbatical after the LA Galaxy's 2012 MLS Cup title and has not been called in by Klinsmann since.
Update: According to Wahl, 20-year-old Philadelphia Union striker Jack McInerney has also been included in the Gold Cup squad:
McInerney has netted 10 goals in 16 appearances so far in 2013, and shares the lead in the Golden Boot race with Mike Magee and Marco Di Vaio. He has represented the US at various youth levels, but is still looking for his first cap at the senior international level.
