Mosquera to join the senior national team in FIFA international period to face Iraq, Germany
PORTLAND, Ore. – Timbers defender Juan David Mosquera has been called into the Colombian Men’s National Team for the FIFA international period in June, the Colombian Football Federation announced today.
Mosquera and Colombia will play a pair of friendly matches against Iraq (June 16) and Germany (June 20). The Cali, Colombia native will join the senior team after the Timbers’ home match against FC Dallas on June 11.
Mosquera, 20, made his debut with Colombia’s senior team on January 28, 2023, starting the match against the U.S. Men’s National Team and logging a full 90-minute performance. The Colombian defender is set to join the senior national team for the third time in his career after making a subsequent roster in March (2023). This season with the Timbers, Mosquera has registered two goals and three assists, tallying seven points in 14 appearances (14 starts).
