Getting Set Up
Portland Timbers technical staff set up at Tanner Ridge in Providence Park with their draft room for the day's selections.
Round One - Justin Rasmussen, Grand Canyon University
With the 27th pick in the MLS SuperDraft, Portland selected from the Grand Canyon University, defender Justin Rasmussen. Rasmussen is a speedy full back who played in a program led by head coach Leonard Griffin who was a former Timbers player in the USL era and a former assistant coach at the University of Portland.
Round Two - Julian Bravo, Santa Clara
Round Two saw the Timbers pick up Julian Bravo from Santa Clara. Bravo is projected as a defender.
Round Three - Sivert Haugli, Virginia Tech
Closing out the day's selections for Portland, the Timbers took Sivert Haugli, a 6'5" defender from Virginia Tech. Haugli's father played center back for Hamarkameratne in the Norwegian top flight.
