CARSON, Calif. – The Portland Timbers fell to the LA Galaxy, 2-1, Sunday night at Dignity Health Sports Park. Jeremy Ebobisse scored his second goal of the season in the first half while Diego Valeri and David Guzmán delivered the assists. Two Zlatan Ibrahamovic penalty kicks bookended the Ebobisse goal to give the Galaxy the victory.

21' - CHANCE (POR) - After Valeri was able to dig out the ball at the top of LA's penalty area, Sebastián Blanco curled a left-footed shot towards goal, only to be denied by a diving David Bingham.
32' - GOAL (LA) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who had been fouled in the box by Claude Dielna, slotted his penalty kick into the left side of the goal to give the home side a 1-0 lead.
39' - CHANCE (POR) - Ebobisse forced a turnover in the attacking half and then played a through ball to Blanco.
44' - GOAL (POR) - Ebobisse tied the match at 1-1 when he finished off a beautiful team goal. The play started when Diego Chara played in a charging Guzmán who played a quick ball to Valeri, who returned a pass to Guzman who beat his defender. The Costa Rican midfielder then passed it to Ebobisse before LA's defense could react and Ebobisse finished into an unmarked net.
65' - GOAL (LA) - Ibrahimovic scored his second penalty kick to give the hosts a 2-1 lead. He earned the penalty after colliding with Timbers goalkeeper Jeff Attinella in the box.
