LOS ANGELES – The Portland Timbers extended their unbeaten streak across all competitions to 14 matches as they drew 0-0 with 10-man Los Angeles FC Sunday afternoon at Banc of California Stadium. Timbers goalkeeper Jeff Attinella made six saves and Portland earned their fifth clean sheet of the MLS regular-season.

5' - CHANCE (POR) - Diego Valeri, capitalizing on a bad giveaway from the LAFC defense, darted forward into the box to shoot only to have LA goalkeeper Tyler Miller palm the ball away.
11' - CHANCE (POR) - Sprung down the right side, Portland defender Alvas Powell cut inside and hit a hard shot that was saved by Miller.
29' - CHANCE (POR) - Sebastián Blanco, pouncing on a loose ball created by a Diego Chara tackle, wound up from 30 yards out to send in a bouncing shot forcing a diving stop by Miller.

84' - RED CARD (LAFC) - LAFC's Lee Nguyen received a straight red card after a hard foul on Portland's Blanco leaving the home side to 10 men.
88' - CHANCE (POR) - Valeri nearly found the game-winner as he danced into the box between LAFC defenders with the ball connected to his foot. Miller came off his line to snag the ball just as Valeri attempted his shot.

The Portland Timbers will remain in Southern California to face Los Angeles FC in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, July 18 (7:30pm PT, Timbers.com).
