KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Forward Felipe Mora scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season and the Portland Timbers picked up a point on the road with a 1-1 draw against Sporting Kansas City Wednesday night at Children's Mercy Park.

17' - GOAL (POR) - The Timbers opened the scoring in the 17th minute as midfielder Marvin Loría lofted a perfect cross towards the top of the six-yard box where forward Felipe Mora swooped in to head it past Tim Melia giving Portland a 1-0 lead.

25' - SAVE (POR) - Goalkeeper Steve Clark dove to his left to deny SKC's Dániel Sallói's sharp-angled shot.

27' - OFFSIDE (POR) - Portland thought they scored a second goal on a nice curler from Loría but he was ruled offside and the call was checked by VAR.

59' - SAVE (POR) - Clark came up with a fantastic save at close range as Kansas City's Gada Kindi snapped a header down on frame but the Timbers 'keeper sprang to his right to push away the shot.

75' - CHANCE (POR) - Portland stole the ball on a bad SKC giveaway in their own end. Sebastián Blanco made a one-touch pass to Diego Valeri in the box who tried to chip Melia but the the shot skittered wide.

90+2' - GOAL (SKC) - In second half stoppage time, Sporting's Sallói hit a hard shot inside the near post to tie the game at 1-1.
