Portland Timbers vs. Philadelphia Union | Mar. 8, 2014, 7:30pm PT | ROOT SPORTS
The Portland Timbers open their 2014 MLS campaign at Providence Park against the Philadelphia Union at 7:30pm on ROOT SPORTS, presented by Alaska Airlines. Keith Bleyer and Ross Smith will be on the call on ROOT SPORTS (channels 34 & 734 on Comcast, 687 on DirecTV and 426 on Dish Network) with Jake Zivin and Andrew Gregor on 750 The Game. Alaska Airlines will be handing out special #TimbersAway luggage tags to the first 5,000 fans in the park.
At halftime of tonight's match, the Timbers will induct NASL legend and community paragon Mick Hoban into the club's Ring of Honor. Be sure to watch the festivities.

Timbers Army Gate 3 Procedures
Due to the high demand for the best seats in the Timbers Army and our desire to provide a fair and consistent early entry procedure, we will be once again using a system of wristbands to help facilitate early entry at Gate 3 for Timbers Army fans at Providence Park. This has been done after consultation with the 107ist Board who will assist with additional volunteers to help with education and execution.
