The Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs are here and the Portland Timbers enter it atop the Western Conference with a bye into the Western Conference semifinals. While the Timbers await their next opponent—the lower seed to come out of the midweek Knockout Round matches—let’s take a by-the-numbers look at how the Timbers got to this point.
1Portland is the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for the second time in its MLS history. It is the fifth time Portland has finished the regular season at the top of the conference or league in all eras of the club (1975, 2004, 2009, 2013, 2017).
