The second leg of the 2013 MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference Championship between the Portland Timbers and Real Salt Lake is finally upon us this Sunday (6pm PT; ESPN / 750 The Game). Down 4-2 on aggregate after the first leg match in Utah, we asked you to share your messages to the team on social media using the hashtag #OnwardRoseCity.
And share you did.
With messages coming from as far away as Navy ships in the Pacific to right here in Portland, you continued to show just what makes Soccer City, USA so special. We took those messages and merged them together into one large poster that has been placed outside the Timbers locker room. It's what they see just before they hit the pitch. Diego Valeri (above) got a look at it today. The whole squad will see it Sunday.
