Does the US' result against France matter?
Since taking over as head coach of the US men's national team, Jurgen Klinsmann has amassed an unimpressive 1-3-1 record.
Time to panic? Please.
"I don't give a crap about win records," ESPN.com reported the German legend as saying. "If we can play Spain, Holland, Germany, Argentina and Brazil, I would love to play them every week risking that my win record wouldn't look so good, believe me."
With a Friday match against against a world-class French squad looming (Noon PT, ESPN2 and Univisión), it might behoove the Klinsmann to disregard his record.
But the natives are getting restless, and won't ignore losses eternally.
“If [France] sweep the floor with the United States in this game, it’s a huge blow to what [Klinsmann] is trying to build," MLSsoccer.com's Simon Borg said on ExtraTime radio on Thursday. "I don’t care that it’s this early, it’s a huge blow. Results matter.”
So whose side do you take: Klinsmann or Borg?
