Diego Valeri is back. And what better way to confirm it than with an AT&T Goal of the Week nod for his first nomination of 2015?
The Portland Timbers' Argentine maestro edged out a pair of Cascadian competitors in Clint Dempsey and Darren Mattocks to claim Week 10 GOTW honors, as Valeri's curler in Montreal outpaced a comparable strike by Dempsey at Columbus by about five percentage points, with Mattocks' solo run finishing not far behind.
Blas Perez and Bradley-Wright Phillips finished well back of that trio in this week's vote, though they'll have a chance to kick out their frustrations right away as they'll do battle in Friday night's FC Dallas vs. New York Red Bulls showdown on Viernes de Fútbol (6pm PT, Univision Deportes/UnivisionDeportes.com, MLS LIVE in Canada/Mexico).
