Portland Timbers midfielder Diego Valeri was busy under the Friday night lights against the San Jose Earthquakes. The Portland maestro scored two goals in the match giving him a team-leading eight for the season. It was the seventh brace of Valeri's MLS career and made him one of only three active MLS players who have at least 45 goals and 45 assists.
The first of his goals was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week (Wk 14) and his overall performance earned him a spot on the MLS Team of the Week for Week 14.
