Rodríguez, Kelsy score for Portland
IRVINE, Calif. – The Portland Timbers played to a 2-1 win over Orange County SC in a closed door scrimmage Saturday morning as part of their 2025 preseason, presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky.
Johnathan Rodríguez converted a penalty kick in the 83rd minute while newly acquired forward Kevin Kelsy tallied a goal a minute later to pace the Timbers in the win.
Portland will continue their preseason training in Southern California this week and have another closed door scrimmage against Los Angeles FC on Wednesday, January 29.
