The Portland Timbers won the club's first-ever league trophy when they defeated the Columbus Crew, 2-1, in the 2015 MLS Cup.

:27 It took just 27 seconds for Diego Valeri to score one of the most memorable goals in Timbers history. The goal still lives as the earliest goal ever scored in MLS Cup and the earliest ever scored by Portland in MLS play. 


1 The Crew mustered just one shot on target for the entire match. It was just the second time in 2015 that Columbus had been held to one shot or fewer. 


33 In the final, Timbers players made 33 tackles. That output currently ranks as the second-most tackles Portland has ever had in an MLS match. 


1,583 At the time of the MLS Cup kickoff, midfielder Rodney Wallace was the longest tenured Timbers player, having originally joined the team via trade on Nov. 24, 2010 – a span of 1,583 days. 


779 After playing its first game as a club in 1975, the 2015 MLS Cup was the 779th competitive match played in all eras of the club and just the second final in club history.
