0 Despite playing eight different times in the MLS regular-season, the Timbers have zero losses against the Fire. Chicago is the only MLS team Portland has faced more than once and hasn't yet lost to.
1 For the first time in club history, both the Timbers and Thorns FC will be playing a road doubleheader at the same stadium. The MLS match will kick off the festivities at 3pm PT while the Red Stars and Thorns will play the nightcap at 5:15pm PT, which will serve as Chicago's NWSL home opener.
2Sebastián Blanco is off to a hot start to the season having scored both of the Timbers goals in 2018. He is the third Timbers player to score the first two goals of an MLS season for the club, joining Gastón Fernández (2014) and Fanendo Adi (2015).
3 Dating back to last season, Adi has an assist in each of his last three starts. The Nigerian forward has 14 career assists for Portland, tying him for 13th-most assists in all eras of the club with Brian Gant and Stuart Lee, who both played in the NASL era of the club.
4 Saturday's match will be Portland's fourth consecutive away match due to Providence Park stadium expansion construction. It is first time in their MLS era that the Timbers have played four consecutive road matches.
