Quick Strikes | Portland looks to continue impressive home form against Dynamo

Diego Chara, Timbers vs. Loons, 3.3.17

A pair of 2-0-0 teams will square off Saturday at Providence Park when the Timbers take on the Houston Dynamo (7:30pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvHOU in the latest edition of Quick Strikes.

2x2Diego Valeri has started the 2017 season on a tear with two goals and two assists. The midfielder is the only player so far this year to have multiple goals and multiple assists in MLS.

19 Dating back to the 2015 season, Portland has scored at least once in 19 consecutive regular-season home matches, the longest current streak in MLS. Over that span, the Timbers home record is 14-3-2 with 44 goals scored and a plus-21 goal differential.

49Following the team's 1-0 victory over LA last week, midfielder Diego Chara has now played in 49 shutouts for the club, which is the fourth-most of any midfielder in MLS since Chara's debut in 2011.

15 With consecutive wins to start the season, Jake Gleeson now has 15 wins as starting goalkeeper for the Timbers. That puts the New Zealand native at eighth place for most wins by a goalkeeper in the club's all era history.

4 Under Caleb Porter, the Timbers have had success against the Dynamo, especially at home. Portland is undefeated in its four home matches versus Houston under Porter, including three victories.
