Quick Strikes | Portland Timbers lead MLS in scoring second half goals

Team celebrates, Timbers vs. SJ, 4.16.16

Coming off a win over the San Jose Earthquakes and a weekend bye, the Portland Timbers will return to the field Wednesday as the club travels east to visit the New England Revolution (4:30 PM PT, KPTV). Here are five numbers to know for #NEvPOR.

10 No team in MLS has scored more goals in the second half this season than the Portland Timbers. Portland has scored 10 goals in the second half of matches with six of those goals coming after the 75th minute.

11 Since joining the Timbers in May 2014, Fanendo Adi has scored multiple goals in a single game in 11 different matches. He is the only MLS player with 10 or more multi-goal games in that timespan. New England Revolution players, as a whole, have mustered five total multi-goal matches since Adi's debut.

630Diego Chara and Jermaine Taylor are the only two players to have played every minute of Portland's seven matches.

2 Goalkeeper Jake Gleeson will likely make his second career away start for the Portland Timbers in Wednesday's match. The New Zealander's only previous road start for Portland was in New England, when he had a career-high five saves in a 1-1 draw on April 2, 2011.

74 With Jack McInerney and Darren Mattocks starting for Portland for the first time in the club's last match, 74 different players have started an MLS match for the Timbers. Darlington Nagbe has the most career MLS starts for Portland with 152.
