Darlington Nagbe, Timbers vs. LA #3, 6.29.16

The Portland Timbers will take on Cascadia rival, Seattle Sounders FC, when the clubs face off Sunday at Providence Park (12:00pm PT, FOX). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvSEA in the latest Quick Strikes.

10Portland has scored at least one goal in all 10 home matches the club has played this season, one of four MLS teams to do so. No Timbers player has had more home success this season than forward Fanendo Adi who has scored seven times at Providence Park in 2016.

2.38In the eight matches played at Providence Park in the rivalry's MLS era, the Timbers have scored 19 goals. That gives the host side an average of 2.38 goals scored per match.

8 For the first time in the history of the rivalry, the Timbers enter a regular-season match against the Sounders on an eight-game unbeaten streak. In the previous 69 regular season matches between the teams, Portland's longest undefeated streak entering a Seattle match was a seven-game run in 1978.

41 Since joining MLS in 2011, midfielder Darlington Nagbe has been fouled by the Sounders 41 times, which is the second-most any team has fouled a single MLS player in that time span. The only team who has fouled a player more is Real Salt Lake, who has fouled Nagbe 42 times.

47 Last season, Jack Jewsbury became the 47th different Portland Timbers player to score a goal against Seattle in a competitive match. The all-time leading scorer for the Timbers versus the Sounders is Byron Alvarez, who scored seven goals in the series.
