After two straight victories, the Portland Timbers will be looking for a third straight MLS win for the first time in the club's history when they host the New England Revolution Saturday (7:30pm PT, KPDX). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvNE in the latest Quick Strikes by Simple.


51.56%When Portland finds a gap in the opposing defense, the club is able to consistently challenge the opposing goalkeeper. In 2015, the Timbers have a shooting accuracy of 51.56 percent, which is the third highest percent among the 20 MLS clubs. In addition, Portland is one of just four clubs which puts more than half its shots on target. 


17 While shooting accuracy has been a success all season, in Portland’s most recent six-point week, the club was able to pester the net at a high rate. In its victories over D.C. United and the Colorado Rapids, Portland produced 17 shots on goal--a season high for consecutive games. 


92:58Jack Jewsbury’s game-winning goal against Colorado took place with the clock showing 92:58 and officially was credited as a 93rd minute goal. The goal was the latest road goal scored by the Timbers in MLS play and the latest game-winning goal on the road for Portland since Hugo Alcarez-Cuellar notched a golden goal to beat Seattle in the 2004 season. 


5 The Timbers have shown a penchant for late heroics with five goals this season after the 75th minute. In 2015, 38 percent of the club's goals have happened in the final 15 minutes of its matches.
