Riding a four-match unbeaten streak, the Portland Timbers head north to take on its Cascadian rival, the Seattle Sounders on Sunday (1:30pm PT, ESPN) as part of Heineken Rivalry Week. Here are five numbers to know for #SEAvPOR in the latest Quick Strikes by Simple.


7 The Timbers have scored seven goals in its last two competitive matches against Sounders FC. The seven goals are the most goals Portland has ever scored in a two-match span against Seattle in the 40-year history of the rivalry.


4 Following the club’s two June victories over the Sounders, Portland forward Fanendo Adi and midfielder Rodney Wallace have now scored four competitive goals against Seattle, which ties the duo for the most career goals for a Timbers player against the Sounders. Adi and Wallace are level with Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar and Barry Powell and behind only Clyde Best (6) and Byron Alvarez (7). 


75 In 2015, Portland has been one of the best teams in MLS for making halftime adjustments. In fact, 75 percent of the club’s goals this season have been in the second half, which is the highest percentage in the league. 


359 No team in MLS has taken more shots this season than the Portland Timbers with 359. On the other end of the shot charts is Seattle, who has taken an MLS-low 266 shots in 2015.
