Portland, who has been at the top of the standings since a 2017 opening-night victory over Minnesota United FC, is off to their best start in the club's MLS history and best start in all eras since 2004.
3 Almost two months into the season, Portland is one of just three teams in MLS that has scored in every road game they have played this season, along with Seattle and the LA Galaxy. The Timbers are also one of two teams to have multiple road wins in 2017 (Atlanta United FC).
