In his third season with the Portland Timbers Diego Chara continues to be a vital part of the central midfield. Chara does everything expected of a central defensive midfielder. Then he does more. - Started each of the first 17 matches of the regular season, playing the full 90 in 16 straight matches March 9-June 23
