Ready for a little recess?
The Rose City Kickball Classic, presented by the Portland Timbers and Thorns FC and partnering with Recesstime Sports Leagues begins July 7-8, 2017 at Providence Park. Teams will take to the Providence Park pitch to square off in a friendly tournament with raffle prizes and numerous team awards up for grabs.
Each squad is guaranteed at least three games in the tournament and each player will also receive two tickets to the T2 match against LA Galaxy II on July 9 at Providence Park.
Registration is $50 per player. Teams can pick their playground with Slow Pitch and Fast Pitch divisions available. A portion of the proceeds benefit Stand Together and Harper’s Playground.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are teams formed?
Need a team or don’t have a full team? Sign up as a Free Agent and Recesstime can help place players on a team.
Players can also create a small group or join a small group of other Free Agents to help form a new team.
How many people are needed for a team?
Teams must have at least 11 players and that team must be made of up at least 4 men and 4 women.
While there’s no “max number of players” on a team, we suggest no more than 16 players per team so everyone gets their chance to kick (that’s the best part of kickball, isn’t it!?!).
How does a formed team register as a team?
If a group already has a team ready to go, a Captain registers the team and then invites their teammates to join that team through an email invitation created during registration.
Captains can log in to register.recesstimesports.com and send emails to their players and invite others to join their team any time after their team is registered.
Each team member is responsible for his/her own player registration and fee.
If you have a sponsored team or someone wants to pay for every player’s fee, have them email kickball@recesstimesports.com and we can arrange special payment accommodations.
