The Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns FC had massive crowds during their respective 2014 seasons and along for the ride came close to 3,000 kids who received free tickets from Stand Together’s Tix for Kids program.
Sponsored by community-minded organizations and individuals including Alaska Airlines, Burgerville, KPTV, NW Natural, PGE and Providence Health & Services for the Timbers and Nike, Providence Health & Services, and Alaska Airlines for the Thorns, the Tix for Kids provides game tickets free-of-charge to those organizations that may benefit from them.
In addition to the club’s Stand Together Community Partners, tickets were provided for a host of organizations including the Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization, Adelante Mujeres, 4 Worlds United Soccer Alliance and 35 other area organizations.
