Diego Valeri, Darlington Nagbe, Rodney Wallace, Will Johnson. All these Portland Timbers and more have trained at the adidas Timbers Training Center pristine grass practice field. Now you can have a piece of the special field that housed them as well as the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Stars.
The grass training field at the aTTC is being replaced during this offseason. With the new grass coming in, the Stand Together auction site is working with the club groundskeepers to cut out a limited amount of special grass pallets that you can bid on.
Each lot is 250 square feet, cut with a 1” thick base. The grass is a three way perennial ryegrass blend with some native annual bluegrass also mixed in.
Auction proceeds benefit the Portland Timbers Community Fund. All winners will need to go to the adidas Timbers Training Center to collect the grass sections. Pick up will take place on a Saturday in late January/early February. Details and day of event instructions to follow.
The Timbers will have staff and a forklift on site to help load the pallet. Winners are responsible for transporting their grass, no exceptions. Please plan accordingly with your transportation – each pallet weighs roughly 1,200 pounds.
Please note that a $250 Buy-It-Now option exists for each grass lot. Those who purchase a pallet will receive a complimentary lawn fertilizer treatment courtesy of ProGrass.
