The Portland Timbers returned to Providence Park with an emphatic 4-0 victory over D.C. United Sunday. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from #PORvDC. 


50 The victory gives Portland 50 points for the season and clinches a spot in the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs. The Timbers have reached the 50-point mark for the third time as an MLS club. 


2 With two second-half goals, Sebastián Blanco notched the first brace of his Portland career. Blanco, who is up to eight goals for the year, is the third Timbers player this season with a multi-goal game, joining Diego Valeri and Fanendo Adi


21/11 Midfielder Diego Valeri delivered another strong performance for the Timbers contributing a goal and two assists. With 21 goals and 11 assists in 2017, Valeri is now just the second MLS player to have 20 or more goals and 10 or more assists in the same season.
