Kicking off the longest homestand in the team's MLS history, the Portland Timbers defeated Vancouver Whitecaps FC, 3-1, at Providence Park on Saturday night. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match.
14 With a pair of assists, Diego Valeri now has 14 assists this season. That ties the club's all-era record for assists in a single season, which was originally set by John Bain in 1980 and matched by Valeri, himself, in 2014.
10Sebastián Blanco delivered his 10th assist of the season, reaching double-digit assists for the second consecutive year. Blanco and Valeri are the only set of MLS teammates to each have 10 or more assists in 2019.
8 The only Timbers player to have played in every game this season, Jeremy Ebobisse now has eight goals in 2019. The stoppage-time tally leaves Ebobisse in a tie for the club lead for goals in league play with Brian Fernandez.
