Portland Timbers head coach Caleb Porter had his side firing on all cylinders in a comprehensive 2-0 victory over FC Dallas this past weekend. Porter's performance earned him a spot as the coach for the MLS Team of the Week (Wk 33) plus two more of his squad made the team as well.
After setting a personal career high with assists this season (7), Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe opened his 2014 scoring account against FC Dallas with a clutch strike. Helping hold the lead, defender Alvas Powell shutdown the speedy FCD attacker Fabian Castillo with aplomb all evening.
