The Portland Timbers are celebrating a half century of heritage.
The City of Portland fell in love with pro soccer at first sight. In 1975, the club assembled a first season unlike anything one could have predicted, reaching the final. The spirit of that ‘75 season and city’s passion for the Green & Gold has endured for decades.
The Forever Green & Gold kit charts a course through the Timbers’ 50-year history – the stories, the legends, the traditions – and invites supporters to join in the celebration and help make new memories as the club continues to write its story.
The Colors
The 2025 kit brings to life the essence of Green & Gold. The kit features a Night Green jersey with a tonal pattern across the front. In celebration of the golden anniversary, metallic Victory Gold adidas stripes rest on the shoulders and gold trims the collar.
Jersey partner, Tillamook, is proudly positioned across the front in Victory Gold.
The Pattern
Centered around the Timbers crest, tree rings – as seen in the crosscut of the iconic log slab – adorn the front of the jersey and showcase the depth of the club’s history. The jersey texture features 50 rings, serving as a timeline of Soccer City USA. Layered into the tree rings are special icons, honoring the Timbers’ first MLS season (2011) and MLS Cup championship (2015), in their respective rings.
The History
The jocktag on the left hip pays homage to the first season in 1975, and the way the players and soccer captured the hearts of Portland. On the back of the neck, a stylized “50” houses the City of Portland flag as a tribute to unrivaled support for half a century.
The Technology
Crafted from recyclable materials, the jersey features adidas’ HEAT.RDY technology – breathable, moisture-wicking and 3D engineered fabric. The shirt offers reimagined, engineered cooling areas to optimize comfort and performance.
