PORTLAND, Ore. – Major League Soccer today announced the schedule and broadcast details for the remainder of the 2020 MLS Regular Season. The regular season culminates with MLS Decision Day 2020 presented by AT&T on Sunday, Nov. 8, when the Portland Timbers travel to face Los Angeles FC at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific) on ROOT SPORTS.
MLS Decision Day 2020 presented by AT&T will feature all 26 teams in action and could have major implications on the MLS Golden Boot presented by Audi, Supporters’ Shield, and seedings for the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs. On Decision Day, the 14 Eastern Conference teams will kick off in seven simultaneous games at 12:30 p.m. (Eastern) before the 12 Western Conference teams kick off in six simultaneous games at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific).
The Timbers play host to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, Oct. 3 with a local television broadcast on FOX 12 PLUS at 7 p.m. (Pacific), and then travel to take on the LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park on Wednesday, Oct. 7 with a regional television broadcast on ROOT SPORTS at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific). Portland returns home to Providence Park on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. (Pacific) to face off against the San Jose Earthquakes with a local television broadcast on FOX 12 PLUS at 7 p.m. (Pacific), and then hit the road to play Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 14 on ROOT SPORTS at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific).
Portland face off against LAFC at Providence Park on Sunday, Oct. 18 on ROOT SPORTS at 7 p.m. (Pacific), before traveling to face Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC in a game broadcasted nationally on FS1 at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. (Pacific). The Timbers close out the month of October with a nationally televised match on ESPN against the LA Galaxy at Providence Park on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. (Pacific).
The Timbers square off against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Providence Park on Sunday, Nov. 1 on FOX 12 PLUS at 7 p.m. (Pacific). Portland close out the 2020 regular season with its Decision Day match on the road against LAFC at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 8, beginning at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific) on ROOT SPORTS.
All nine matches will include local radio broadcasts on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish). FOX 12 PLUS games are simulcast in Eugene and Medford by over-the-air partners, KEVU and KFBI.
Matches have been scheduled to minimize travel time, allowing visiting teams to arrive and depart on match day for the majority of games. MLS clubs will continue to adhere to comprehensive health and safety protocols, including regular testing of players, coaches and essential staff for COVID-19.
