With nearly half of the 2015 college men’s soccer regular season behind them, the Portland Timbers Academy players continue to receive national attention with their respective teams as Academy alumni grace seven different NCAA teams who are ranked in the Top 25 teams.
This week, No. 3-ranked Stanford stayed hot with help from two Timbers Academy alums. Sophomore forward Foster Langsdorf continued to showcase his talent, tallying his fourth goal of the 2015 regular season and second in three games to lead the Cardinal in a 3-0 win over Oregon State. Stanford teammate midfielder Sam Werner, also a sophomore, provided an assist on Langsdorf’s goal, his first of the season. Alex Segovia, a sophomore midfielder for the Beavers, played the full 90 in that game against Stanford.
