With the beginning of the 2016 MLS season looming, it is time to find the next killer dish that will be served in-stadium at Providence Park.
Back for a second season, the Timbers Chef contest will find and feature one home-inspired concession item to be enjoyed during Timbers home matches. The ground rules: a dish that contains a locally-sourced main ingredient that can be served on a paper plate or tray during home matches. The dish must not exceed $4 a serving when purchasing ingredients and it must hold well in 140 degrees for up to 30 minutes. Be creative when crafting your concoctions and make sure it is not deep fried. Click here for full contest rules.
Submit a Timbers Chef idea via email to timberschef@timbers.com. Entries must contain your name, phone number, the recipe, and a photo of the dish for it to be valid. Deadline for submissions is Monday, Feb. 15, at 5 p.m. (Pacific). Want to share your entry into Timbers Chef? Post a photo on social media of your dish with #TimbersChef.
Three finalists will be announced around Feb. 19 to compete in an event “Iron Chef” style to decide which dish will be crowned the winner.
