Portland Timbers on loan defender Liam Ridgewell made his home debut Saturday for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Seagulls' 2-1 victory over Huddersfield Town at Falmer Stadium. It was Brighton's second win in a row and rocketed them up to third place in the Sky Bet Championship table.
Ridgewell made his fourth start in a row, playing the full 90 for the Seagulls as they continue their chase for promotion to the English top flight. Bobby Zamora got the home side on the board first with Huddersfield equalizing in first half stoppage time. James Wilson put in the game-winner for Brighton in the 66th minute.
After a week off, Brighton will look to continue their strong run of form as they host Brentford FC on Feb. 5.
