PORTLAND, Ore. – United Soccer Leagues announced Thursday the Premier Development League (PDL) Team of the Week for Week 9, with Timbers U-23s forward Erik Hurtado and defender Chris Harms named to the honorable mention list for their performances during the team's three-game road stretch June 25-30.
Both Harms and Hurtado helped the Timbers U-23s to an undefeated week and a 2-0-1 record in Week 9. Hurtado scored a goal in Portland’s 3-1 road win at North Sound on June 25, his fourth consecutive game in which he found the back of the net. Harms anchored a defense that allowed just two goals on the three-game road trip in Week 9, including a 2-0 shutout win against Fraser Valley on June 29.
Hurtado has played in seven matches in 2012, and is second on the team with five goals scored. Harms has played in 12 of 13 games this season, and has helped lead a Timbers U-23s defense that is tied for first in the Northwest Division in fewest goals allowed (15).

On Friday, the team plays host to the Washington Crossfire at Doc Harris Stadium in Camas, Wash., at 7 p.m. (Pacific) On Sunday, Portland plays the Kitsap Pumas at Hare Field in Hillsboro, Ore., at 6 p.m. (Pacific).
