Postgame Quote Sheet
T2 Head Coach Cameron Knowles
On his overall thoughts on the match…
“To come back from two goals down, it’s outstanding. When I think from the time where we conceded that second goal and towards the end of the half we started to ride the ship a little bit and scored that first goal, I thought from that point we were very good; we created some really good chances and it was good that we scored the equalizer; but I think the guys are disappointed they didn’t get more. They know we are capable of winning games like that one and it’s just disappointing we had to come from behind.”
On the team’s effort to find the equalizer…
“The effort, you can’t question it. We haven’t been able to question that all year. The character of this group is incredible. We are proven to be a very difficult team to beat, which is an important part of developing and growing as a team. This was a difficult environment against a very experienced team that does very well at home, so to keep putting in that effort to find our way back into the game and then to create the chances to win was outstanding.”
On coming back from behind to earn points on the road, yet once again…
“I think it speaks a lot to their belief. They know that even when they go down they have the quality to get back in the game. They know that in a lot of these games a couple of mistakes are getting punished and they understand that if they can just correct those few moments and take care of chances on the other end, they are capable of winning any game against any team.”
