Key plays
Rio Grande Valley FC took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute when Wilmer A. Cabrera received Isidro Martinez’s free-kick delivery, finishing past T2 goalkeeper Jake Leeker from just outside the six-yard box.

In the 26th minute, Conechny’s corner-kick service found Dairon Asprilla, but his leaping header missed the target. Renzo Zambrano received a throw-in before firing a shot from distance that curled wide past the target in the 35th minute.

Continuing on the attack in the 51st minute, Asprilla picked up the ball at midfield, powering past three defenders before firing a shot from a tight angle that missed the frame of goal.

Postgame Quote Sheet
T2 Head Coach Cameron Knowles
General thoughts on the match…
“We showed some character to come back from a goal down to get level, but that's where we need to find that next goal. It’s difficult dropping points at home. Even though we were on short rest and whatnot, I think this was a game that we need to do better in, and once we find that first goal to equalize, we need to find that second.”

On tonight's result despite the team's recent good run of form...

“I think when you look at the context of the result, with all the other results, knowing that we've won a few games on the road, our overall point total for this stretch of the season has been quite good still. So the disappointment of dropping points at home is one thing, but when we look at it in the bigger picture, we're still overall in a good position. It's just a shame that we did drop points.”

On bouncing back for the next stretch of matches...
“Well, we have some timeto recover. We've got a few guys that are a little bit beaten up and we've got some time to prepare for the next game. So, we can put together a good plan so that when we go up [to Tacoma], we can make a real go of it and try and get these points back on the road.”
