The U.S. Women’s National Team earned a rematch with Brazil on Sunday evening, but neither team was able to find the back of the net in a 0-0 draw in the championship match of the International Tournament of Brasilia. Brazil claimed the tournament title by virtue of collecting more points in the group stage.

Thorns FC’s Tobin Heath started her fourth consecutive match of the tournament, playing 81 minutes. Heath finishes 2014 with three goals and four assists. Alex Morgan did not appear in the match as she continues to recover from injury.

Heath created a chance for the United States in the 59th minute of the match as she sent in a cross from the left wing to Abby Wambach at the far post, but her header went just wide. Carli Lloyd looked to have scored the game winner in extra time, but was called offside.

Following a break for the holidays, the USWNT will meet in Carson, Calif., early in 2015 for a January training camp before traveling to Europe in February to play France (Feb. 8) and England (Feb. 13) in preparation for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
